Who Am I?
I work as a management consultant, writer, and independent researcher obsessed with service science, economics, and financial services - wealth, investing, and wealth management.
Before joining Accenture in September 2016, I worked in financial services for almost six years; I started my careers as a customer services officer and ended it as a local business developer at Nordnet Bank; conducting competitor analysis, business design, innovation management, continuous improvement, and customer development. I employed various methods from lean startup to service design to get things done. I had the privilege to work with a small team of dedicated, hard-working and incredibly talented people at Nordnet.
At Accenture, I have worked with various financial services clients, particularly within wealth management, asset management, and corporate banking, for projects ranging from IT strategy to digital growth transformation. My colleagues are competent and clients smart, so the learning curve is quite steep as there are methodological as well as functional issues I have had to learn. There is always someone whom I can ask for advice, someone from our global network of individuals who can complement my knowledge and skills.
I received my master's degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki in 2012 and a master's degree in technology governance from the Tallinn University of Technology in 2013. I have also studied customer-centric service development at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, industrial management at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and educational sciences (sociology and politics of education) at the University of Helsinki.
I am passionate about lean, agile, business models, Austrian and industrial economics, service science, innovation management, organizational theory, emerging technologies, evolutionary psychology, educational sciences, and human enhancement.
When I am not working, I have a good time with my wife Pauliina and our dachshund Kerttu. Also, I like to exercise, read non-fiction, practice some kind of modern Stoicism, learn new things and taste whiskeys.
